THE BURBAGE ROOM

The largest event space in The Curtain, The Burbage Room takes its name from the iconic Elizabethan actor and theatre impresario James Burbage - best known for building The Globe Theatre, the first permanent theatre in England. With Shakespeare playing a key part of the theatre's history, Burbage and The Globe became world-famous for their acting troupes and "bridged the gap between late-medieval drama in England and the flowering of the great Elizabethan Theatre”.

With space for 140 for dinner and dancing, or 350 for a standing reception, the latest tech, bespoke menus, flexible spaces and a dedicated planning team, there's no detail too small.
